Four Men. One Standard. The Next Generation at the Table.
Double J Builds is four men who work like family: Joseph, JD, Michael, and Jared, JD's son. Between them: years on roofs, in attics, and across job sites, doing the estimating, the scheduling, and the work itself. They answer their own phone, and the name on the truck goes on every job. The next generation is already on the crew, which tells you how they plan to be judged: not by this job, by all of them.
Among them, Michael: a builder with nearly three decades as a South Carolina general contractor. Commercial work from shopping centers to full renovations, home building, and repair down to the trades themselves: master carpentry, tile, flooring, electrical, plumbing. He studied math and physics at UNC, and he estimates like it.
The words on the seal aren't marketing. They're house rules.

What kind of work do you take on?
Full contracting. New builds and additions, renovations down to the studs, commercial work (new buildings, renovations, repair), roofing systems in shingle and metal, and ongoing care for properties you own or manage. If you're not sure your project fits, ask; that's what the form is for.
Do you take commercial jobs?
Yes. Michael brings nearly three decades as a South Carolina general contractor, shopping centers included, and the Washington Street rebuild in Columbia is running right now. Commercial repair, renovation, and new construction all get the same written scope and schedule as a home job.
